Pyksis Pty Ltd
From: John Johnston, Director
www.pyksis.com
When Pyksis decided that it needed a new website as part of its corporate branding, marketing & operations initiative, it engaged Seeclear Systems & SoulNecta, based on word-of-mouth recommendations from trusted intermediaries and a recommendation from WebCentral.
We set Seeclear a challenging brief that combined a requirement for a new exciting image that made the complex field in which Pyksis operates accessible to a wide range of interested parties; from private industry though to government & supporting service providers.
In addition, the website needed to be a working website that enabled Pyksis’ clients & stakeholders to access specialist information under password hierarchies.
We also needed to have the option to update the website ourselves.
Seeclear & SoulNecta listened well to our requirements, which were supported by a written brief.
We were not disappointed in the result (www.pyksis.com), which is a work-in-progress.
We have been gratified by the many favourable comments that we have received since launching the new website.
And, we continue to add to the website on almost a weekly basis, a good deal of it (but not entirely) behind the scenes for our clients & stakeholders. This has been giving the Pyksis team a good deal of satisfaction.
Through all of this Seeclear has been delightfully helpful & easy to work with, offering suggestions on best ways to set up new features, with no task being too difficult. Seeclear has been very diligent in fixing, in a timely & fully-acceptable manner, any problems that arose.
Seeclear has always been interested in forming a long-term beneficial relationship & that suited Pyksis. We know that our needs are evolving, as we take Pyksis beyond Australia into the international markets. We wanted a website builder who could confidently travel that road with us.
We would recommend Seeclear for your website development, fully believing that you, like us, would not be disappointed. To the contrary, you will be inspired by the result.
Macular Degeneration Foundation
From: Julie Heraghty, Chief Executive Officer
www.mdfoundation.com.au
The Macular Degeneration Foundation is a not for profit organisation which aims to reduce the incidence and impact of Macular Degeneration (MD), Australia’s leading cause of blindness.
MD is a primarily age-related disease, affecting one in seven people over the age of 50 and climbing to one in three over 75. It causes progressive loss of central vision which affects the ability to read, recognise faces, drive and see colours clearly.
As part of the Foundation’s public awareness and communications strategy, a decision was made in December 2005 to redesign and reformat our website. Subsequently, a brief was sent to a range of website developers which outlined our technical requirements for people with low vision as well as guidance on the desired style and look.
After reviewing the submissions from a number of website developers the MD Foundation awarded the contract to Dan Frybort (Soul Necta Pty Ltd) and Brad Martens (Seeclear Systems Pty Ltd), to design and construct the new website.
I found that Dan and Brad possessed a full understanding of our needs as well as a portfolio of experience that was both impressive and relevant to the project. The pair had also made a comprehensive effort to research MD and websites for the vision impaired. Their quote for the overall project was extremely competitive.
During the course of the project, the team communicated clearly with the Foundation and spent considerable time listening to new ideas, which have been incorporated into the final design. In addition, Dan and Brad made many innovative and creative suggestions, indicating their high level of expertise in website development.
The final design is both attractive and professional whilst satisfying specific criteria for websites for the vision impaired.
It is therefore without hesitation, that I recommend Dan Frybort and Brad Martens for any project that involves website development. If there are any further questions relating to the redevelopment of the MD Foundation’s website, please do not hesitate to contact me.
