How to protect your profits with a registered trade mark
| The team at CG Lawyers
What do you see when you look at a website...???
If your business has something original and unique, which has or will give you an advantage, you may want to secure this by having it registered as a trade mark.
Having a registered trade mark gives your business peace of mind and heightened security against someone copying and profiting from your hard work. You can use trade marking to protect a variety of important assets for your business. These include your brand name, tagline, slogan, logo, colour scheme, packaging, shape, sound, even smell.
Cheap web design and development services - Is it really worth the money?
| Brad Martens, Seeclear Systems
As a web design, development and internet marketing company we get offers just about daily from overseas companies offering their service at very cheap rates. As a company if I can save money whilst offering the same service to my customers I am in a great position, however what I found out is the savings are not worth the money.

Choosing the right web company
| Brad Martens, Seeclear Systems
As stated in our intro we recently met with a lady who had spent considerable money having a website designed and developed with an end result that had a lot to be desired.
The website was poorly designed with no focus being placed on search engines or usability which would have resulted in poor rankings and frustrated users.
The website had a comprehensive shopping cart but this had bugs and worst of all it had no security meaning any potential customer could have their transaction intercepted leading to unscrupulous individuals making additional transactions against their card and opening up this business to potential lawsuits.
Do you have a healthy website?
| Robert Stanley, Seeclear Systems
This is one of the most essential questions you can ask yourself when it comes to your website as everything may look good from a far, but is it far from good?
For example how many times have you visited a website and found that the images don't load or there are links that don't take you to your desired destinations... Maybe there are spelling errors, structural issues, colours used throughout the website that don't comply with visual web standards or maybe usability issues such as no 'back to top' link for scrollable pages.
Are YOU getting what you’ve paid for?
| Robert Stanley, Seeclear Systems
When a company signs-up for a website, they tend to imagine what a great marketing investment opportunity they have just created for their business. What they don’t know is that when a website is lacking the key elements of not only a great design but an even better development, then that’s when the ugly situations tend to appear. Their new website has to look great and work effectively across different operating systems and browsers.
Why do you need a website?
| Brad Martens, Seeclear Systems
Virtually all businesses can benefit from having a website to promote their products and services.

Step 1. ………Count your Blessings
One way to do this is with a “gratitude journal” in which you write down three to five things for which you are currently thankful – from the mundane (your pansies are in bloom) to the magnificent (a child’s first steps). Do this once a week, say, on Sunday night. Keep it fresh by varying your entries as much as possible.
